Risk warning. Crypto is volatile and trading involves risk, including the loss of your capital. Past performance does not guarantee future results. This content is educational and is not financial advice.

Some networks — like XRP, XLM, TON, and EOS — use a shared deposit address for many users. A memo (or tag) tells the network which account a deposit belongs to.

Why it matters

If a coin requires a memo/tag and you leave it out (or use the wrong one), your deposit may be delayed or credited to the wrong account, and recovering it can be difficult or impossible.

The rule

When Coinwaka shows a memo/tag with your deposit address, you must include it exactly when sending. Copy both the address and the memo/tag.
