How to enable 2FA

Add authenticator-app two-factor authentication to your account.

Beginner 3 min readUpdated 5/27/2026

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step at login — a 6-digit code from an app on your phone — so a stolen password alone isn't enough.

Steps

  1. Open Account → Security → Two-factor authentication.
  2. Install an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.).
  3. Scan the QR code or enter the key.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm.
  5. Save your recovery codes somewhere safe and offline.

App-based 2FA is safer than SMS because it can't be intercepted by SIM-swap attacks.
