Risk warning. Crypto is volatile and trading involves risk, including the loss of your capital. Past performance does not guarantee future results. This content is educational and is not financial advice.

Crypto transfers are irreversible. Once a transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, it cannot be undone, and no one can reverse it for you.

If you sent to the wrong address

  • If you control the receiving wallet, the funds are simply in your other wallet.
  • If you sent to someone else's address, recovery depends on them returning it. There is no technical way to force a reversal.
  • If you sent on the wrong network (for example USDT on a network the receiver does not support), the funds may be stuck. Sometimes a technical recovery is possible, but it is never guaranteed.

How to avoid this

  • Always double check the address. Copy and paste, never type it.
  • Confirm the network matches on both sides before sending.
  • Send a small test amount first for a new address.
